Sunshine, seals and sea salt were the order of the day for our latest writing retreat on St Mary’s Island. After a quick tour and photo call in the lighthouse, we all settled down for a day of writing and awaited the tide to cover the causeway. Some of us even braced it out onto a picnic bench for lunch. It was great to catch up with regulars, meet new faces and hear about everyone’s diverse projects including author Mary Jayne Baker, whose novel, coincidentally set in a lighthouse, is out in July and catching up on their writing for business was Jo and Bev from Launchpad Academy.
It was also fabulous to welcome Lisette, Wendy, Sheila, Sandra, Ceinwen and Sue. Thanks to everyone for supporting the day and making it so successful!
There was even time for photography – thanks to Sheila Fidler for our wonderful seal photo!
If you fancy taking time for your writing in an inspirational setting why not join us at our next retreat on Saturday 8th July 2017 at Shepherd’s Dene Edwardian country house in The Tyne Valley? For details CLICK HERE
